BIO

Gabby Trudeau joined the CALS Dean’s office in 2023. She has a background in physical activity and health promotion, earning first a B.A. in Exercise Science and then an M.S. in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. Alongside several research positions, she has experience working as an instructor, coach, and mentor for students in a variety of contexts. Her work prior to joining UVM was as a holistic health coach for university students at Indiana University.

In her current role, Gabby works with first-time first year and undeclared students by providing advising services, connecting them with available resources and assisting them with navigating their first semesters at UVM. Working alongside students, Gabby’s priority is to make sure that all students feel empowered to succeed academically, thrive personally and feel connected to their community.

  • Represents the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at First Time, First Year (FTFY) events
  • Advises FTFY students across every CALS major
  • Conducts skills and knowledge-based workshops for CALS undergraduates
  • Assists with registration and degree audit walkthroughs
  • Provides 4-year schedule consultations
  • Assists with Admitted Student Visit Days (ASVs)
  • Bolsters retention efforts and initiatives
