Sean is a dedicated member of PwC’s U.S. National Power, Utility and Sustainable Energy Practice. Sean currently has two roles within our practice. First, Sean founded and operates as our lead Partner within our Complex Accounting and Regulatory Solutions practice. In this role, Sean oversees a team of Sector specialists that advise and support clients across the Power, Utility and Sustainable Energy spectrum in addressing complex technical accounting and regulatory / ratemaking issues. In addition, Sean serves as the Lead Relationship Partner on some of our most significant clients in the U.S.
Sean previously completed a three-year tour as PwC’s Power, Utility and Renewable Energy technical leader in the Accounting Services Group in our National Office.
Sean has specialized in serving public and privately-owned clients in the Power Regulated Utility and Sustainable Energy sectors. Over his 33+ year career, Sean has provided leadership and direction around a variety of transactional, regulatory, and technical accounting matters, including business combinations, regulatory accounting, complex contract accounting, cost capitalization (including cost allocations, overhead methodologies, time studies and compliance with the Uniform System of Accounts Plant Instructions), and ratemaking (including State and FERC enforcement matters).
In addition, Sean has acted as an expert witness in utility rate case proceedings across the U.S. on a variety of topics.
Sean’s client service experience includes having worked with virtually all our major sector clients in the U.S. in an Assurance or Advisory capacity. Sean also has worked with numerous multinational power, utility and energy companies over his extensive career.
Sean is a frequent speaker at PwC industry events, as well as for utility and renewable organizations across the U.S.
A 1990 graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in Business and a concentration in Accounting, Sean continues to live in Stowe, Vermont with his family and enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, and woodworking.
