Family businesses are a major driver in the global economy, and it is estimated that family-owned businesses and organizations represent more than 60% of the world's GDP.

So what may start as a simple idea in a home, with determination and innovation, grows into a business built to last; businesses that in many countries have become the economic engine for generations.

The University of Vermont’s Grossman School of Business recognizes and celebrates generational family owned businesses that have demonstrated a commitment to creating sustainable business through leadership and innovation.

If you know an outstanding family business nominate them for a UVM Family Business Award.

Nominations are open now through May 15.
