Internships are valuable experiences for college students, and at GSB, some of our students are working hard this summer at a variety of employers and locations. Meet a few of our all-star summer interns this summer!
Clara Frothingham
This rising junior is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in business analytics, a theme in sustainable business, and a minor in statistics. Clara joined Speed Lemon Media (SLM), a Connecticut boutique agency, in January and is thrilled to continue her growth throughout the summer as a remote marketing and communications intern. She wears many hats and is involved with captivating projects with real estate and podcast host clients. Her responsibilities include managing editorial calendars, creating marketing content, crafting slide decks for client pitches, conducting in-depth research, running social media accounts, and producing engaging written content for websites and various platforms. This internship has allowed Clara to explore different facets of the marketing and communications field.
Hannah Bohmann
Hannah is a senior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Analytics, a theme in Entrepreneurship, and a minor in Applied Design. After interning with Pivot Marketing right here in Burlington, Vermont during the school year, Hannah seized the opportunity to further her expertise in digital marketing and analytics this summer as a junior digital marketing associate. She landed the role through a mock interview during one of her professional development courses.
Hannah has gained extensive knowledge in digital marketing and valuable real-world skills, and is thriving exploring platforms like Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Looker Studio, and more.
Molly Feeney
This recent GSB graduate will return this fall to embark on UVM's Master of Accountancy program. She was one of 369 students from U.S. colleges and universities who were selected by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) to receive a $10,000 scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year. In the meantime, Molly is interning at Ernst & Young Boston in their Assurance department, contributing to audits in the regional and commercial practice sector. She secured this internship by applying through the EY website and rocking her interview in May.
Lily Merchant
Lily is a Sales Management intern at PepsiCo in Wilmington, MA. She reached out to a GSB alum via LinkedIn and got connected with the right people in a location of her choice. She’s spending the summer working on a Food Service project where she pitches PepsiCo products to small business owners across the Boston area. Lily also had the chance to deliver products on a truck, stock shelves alongside merchandisers, shadow sales managers and reps, tour Pepsi and Frito-Lay factories, meet with a mentor, network with interns at Red Sox games/go-karting, and more.
Meredith Gove
After traveling to Iceland in the beginning of the summer, this recent GSB graduate has been exploring Boston ever since as an intern at Ernst & Young’s Audit Practice with a focus on commercial clients. Meredith will also be joining us in August to begin her journey in the MAcc Program, and we can’t wait to have you back!
Mary Redmond
Mary is a GSB Junior diving into the world of Marketing Operations as an intern at National Life Group this summer. She discovered this amazing opportunity through LinkedIn, but the company has been on her radar since attending various career fairs. Starting just ten days after her unforgettable semester abroad in Florence, Italy, the warm and welcoming environment at National Life Group was super helpful during that adjustment period.
Christian Penkrat
This summer, Christian is interning at Coppermine Capital, a firm of private capital investors. His projects include analyzing behavioral healthcare, M&A agreements, cap tables, content creation, graphic design, Python web scraping, and dental practitioner purchasing trends. Attending a board meeting in California was the icing on the cake of an invaluable experience!
