The Beta Gamma Sigma chapter at the Grossman School of Business has earned the organization's prestigious Highest Honors distinction, placing it among an elite group of chapters recognized for exceptional achievement and engagement.
Founded in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International. Membership is reserved for top-performing business students and graduates, recognizing academic excellence and connecting members to a global network of business leaders and scholars.
The Highest Honors designation recognizes chapters that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to strengthening the organization's presence on campus and advancing its mission globally.
"Earning Beta Gamma Sigma's Highest Honors distinction is a tremendous accomplishment and reflects our chapter's ongoing commitment to recognizing academic excellence in the Grossman School of Business," said Cyndi Dowling, chapter administrator. "
The designation opens the door to additional opportunities for our GSB chapter, including eligibility to submit nominations for several global Beta Gamma Sigma awards and participation in the BGS Honor Roll Scholarship Program, which funds a $2,000 scholarship for our chapter to award to an outstanding student member. Our chapter also sends one student to the Beta Gamma Sigma Leadership Conference and this year, Avery Bellavance, will attend the Leading with Vision conference at Seton Hall University.
"This is the 10th consecutive year our chapter has earned Beta Gamma Sigma's Highest Honors distinction, reflecting the sustained commitment of our chapter to academic excellence and engagement," said Barb Arel, Associate Dean, and Chapter Advisor. "Achievements like this are only possible because of the dedication of our students, faculty, and staff. I would especially like to thank our chapter administrator, Cyndi Dowling, for her outstanding leadership, organization, and support efforts that have been instrumental in strengthening our chapter."
The recognition underscores the chapter's continued commitment to celebrating student achievement while creating meaningful connections between academic excellence, leadership development, and professional opportunity. The Grossman School of Business will recognize its newest Beta Gamma Sigma members and award the scholarship during its annual Beta Gamma Sigma Member Recognition Ceremony in April 2027.
