- By John M Turner
After many months of planning, the second annual Family Enterprise Case Competition (FECC) hosted by the University of Vermont, School of Business Family Business Initiative kicks off today.
The competition brings together 20 of the world’s finest family business programs with students, coaches and judges representing more than 25 countries from 4 continents. For 4 days Burlington, Vermont will become the global epicenter for family business education and competition.
The FECC is an annual competition that showcases exceptional undergraduate and masters' students case writing, analysis and presentation skills. Students apply the knowledge and expertise they have developed in the classroom towards solving complex family business cases.
During 4 tough rounds of competition, teams present their case to a distinguished panel of judges who will determine which group best understood, analyzed and presented the most compelling case study. FECC was won last year by the team from ESADE Business School, Spain.
