For students aspiring to launch their own business, the University of Vermont (UVM) Grossman School of Business (GSB) offers one of the best entrepreneurship studies programs, according to The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine. GSB has been named to The Princeton Review 2024 Top Graduate Schools for Entrepreneurship. This list highlights the top 50 graduate schools for entrepreneurship studies, cited for offering superior mentoring programs and exceptional networking opportunities that enthusiastic entrepreneurs look for when choosing a school.

In its profile on the Grossman School of Business, The Princeton Review highlights GSB’s Sustainable Innovation MBA (SI-MBA) program as a unique offering that directly confronts contemporary challenges in environment, ethics, poverty, and inequality through the perspective of enterprise and entrepreneurship. The program, crafted from the ground up at the business school and enhanced by the innovative and green surroundings of Burlington, is praised for "truly incorporating sustainability into its entire curriculum."

“We’re grateful to earn this recognition. It further differentiates the Grossman School of Business, especially among prospective students who are considering starting their own business one day,” said Sanjay Sharma, dean, Grossman School of Business. “SI-MBA students gain unique access to Vermont’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our accelerated, 12-month program integrates sustainable business practices across disciplines, including entrepreneurship, imparting the tools needed to manage business today and lead through change tomorrow.”

The Princeton Review also listed the schools within seven regions, including International, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, South, Southwest, and West. The Grossman School of Business is considered the seventh best in the Northeast region.

“Entrepreneurs know that the best ideas often come from competition and pressure,” says Jason Feifer, editor in chief, Entrepreneur magazine. “Higher education is a great example of that. As more schools build out world-class entrepreneurship programs, their energy, excitement, and powerful resources only grow—making the schools on our list the best at helping young leaders develop into tomorrow’s world-changers.”

SI-MBA has garnered several accolades from The Princeton Review. The program ranked as the highest accredited “Best Green MBA in the U.S.” since 2018. Accreditation through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide and is known worldwide as the longest-standing, most recognized form of specialized accreditation that an institution and its business programs can earn. Less than 5% of the world's 13,000 business programs have earned AACSB accreditation. SI-MBA also was last recognized in 2021 as one of the Top 50 Graduate Programs for Entrepreneurship and has also been included in The Princeton Review's esteemed list of Best Business Schools.
