Outstanding Business School Students Recognized at 2012 Honors Day Celebration

More from Brad Opsahl and Michael Prevoznik

Eleven School of Business Administration students were recognized earlier this month as part of the 2012 Honors Day Celebration.

“Our mission at the School of Business Administration is to equip students with the knowledge and resources to become responsible managers who are engaged and passionate about building better organizations and a better society,” said Dean Sanjay Sharma to the crowd of students, parents and invited guests.  “The students who are being honored today have all made significant achievements in scholarship, leadership, and service.”

“It’s really overwhelming,” said Brad Opsahl, a Business School senior who was this year’s recipient of the Undergraduate Excellence Award.  “The fact that the faculty recommended me is really huge.  I have a pretty good relationship with a lot of the faculty here so it means a lot to get this award.”

“I didn’t get any honors awards last year and was not in Beta Gamma Sigma,” said Michael Prevoznik, a Master’s of Accountancy (MAcc) student who was this year’s recipient of the Graduate Excellence Award for the MAcc.  “Becoming a master’s student, I really changed my work ethic so it does feel good to be recognized for what I’ve been doing.”
