Three hours south of Burlington, nine members of the MIS Club had their sites set on the future.
"It's really a tremendous opportunity," said Thomas Stirling, a senior Business student.
The students, along with the Club Advisor, visited several Boston businesses, including Tek Systems, CSC and Liberty Mutual, as part of the club's annual networking event. Alums took time out of their busy day to talk with the students about their company and offer tips on how to find a job.
"It's been a good opportunity to talk to a bunch of these guys about potential opportunities," said Luke Bicknell, a senior Business student.
"Most of the people we've seen today are 1, 2, 3 years out and they're doing really interesting and engaging projects that all of us I'm sure would love to be a part of," said Stirling.
This was an opportunity to not only network with Business School alums, but also to brush up on interview skills during the question and answer periods.
"They ask us some tough questions; what do you want to do, what are your skills, where do you see yourself," Stirling said.
"I"m having a great time, like the more places we've been to, the people are so helpful and laid back, honest, real people and they're giving us such good insight," Bicknell said.
