Fundamentals of the NIH and the NIH Grants Process

 This webinar was presented by the National Institutes of Health and hosted by the University of New Hampshire. The University of Vermont Office of the Vice President for Research and Sponsored Project Administration coordinated the event for the UVM campus.  New and early stage investigators, postdocs, and graduate students, as well as anyone interested in an overview of the NIH grants process are targeted. The webinar is approximately 90 minutes with a Q & A session afterwards. Topics covered include:
  • mission and organization of the NIH
  • finding the right funding opportunity
  • identifying the right NIH contacts
  • how the application and review processes work
  • understanding NIH resources
  • using the RePORT tool to your advantage
