Marie joined the UVM Spatial Analysis lab in November 2021. She draws on her background in science communication and GIS analysis in her work on producing urban tree canopy assessments for cities and states across North America. These assessments give decision makers insights into the trends, health, and equity of tree canopy distribution in their communities.
Marie grew up in Colchester and calls Vermont home but has since lived all over the country. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 2017 and her master’s degree in 2021 from the University of California Santa Barbara.
