BIO

Lindsey is a Natural Resources PhD student originally from Virginia. At UVM, she will be working on a project that aims to understand how forest treatments for climate change adaptation impact biodiversity. Her broad research interests include forest ecology, spatial dynamics, plant-insect interactions, disturbance ecology, habitat suitability modeling, and canopy gap dynamics.

Lindsey earned her B.S. in Biology + Environmental Science and Policy from William & Mary, where she worked on a project studying American chestnut trees in Maine. She also spent time studying rusty-patched bumblees and their habitat in VA and WV. Before coming to UVM, Lindsey worked in forests in Washington, California, Utah, and Wyoming and hiked over 2000 miles (because that's how much she loves trees).

In her free time, Lindsey loves backpacking, rock climbing, peak-bagging, reading, doing crafts, and napping!
