BIO

Gwen is originally from Michigan and attended Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, graduating in 2025 with a B.S. in Fisheries Management.  In her undergrad she worked on larval coregonine abundance, diet, and composition in the upper Laurentian Great Lakes (Lakes Michigan, Huron, and Superior).  She also worked on microplastics in larval Lake Whitefish for her senior research at Lake Superior State.  For her MSc she will be working on Mysis diluviana ecology in Lake Champlain.  She joined the Rubenstein Lab in June of 2025 under Dr. Jason Stockwell's lab.
