Amelia "Mia" McReynolds

PhD Student in Natural Resources

Amelia "Mia" McReynolds
Alma mater(s)
  • M.S. Ecosystem Science & Policy, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay
  • B.S. Biological Sciences, University of Notre Dame

BIO

Mia's research interests are ecosystem ecology and fish population dynamics in the Great Lakes and connected waterways. At UVM, Mia is using long-term datasets to quantify variation in forage fish communities of Lake Champlain in the context of environmental change, non-native species introductions, and piscivorous fish populations. Previous research projects have focused on restoration of fish and invertebrate communities in small tributary streams and food webs in coastal wetlands. She is a Midwest transplant who enjoys cross-country skiing, cooking, and trail running!

Prospective graduate students interested in learning more about research and experiences in the Rubenstein School may contact her.
