Rubenstein School master's student Jordan Luff is featured in the February 2019 Forestry Source, the newspaper for members of the Society of American Foresters (SAF). The story chronicles Jordan's inspirational journey from punk rock musician to discovering his passion for trees.
Jordan describes the path that led him as a non-traditional student to earning his associate's and bachelor's degrees in forestry in North Carolina and his success as a leader in student chapters of SAF. He is now a graduate student at the University of Vermont.
With advisor Professor Tony D'Amato, Jordan is conducting his thesis research in the field of silviculture. He is investigating regeneration dynamics of northern hardwood-red spruce mixed wood forests in the northeastern United States.
