The Office of the Provost invites the faculty at the University of Vermont to attend RPT Week 2018, a week-long event consisting of panels, presentations, workshops and an open forum designed to support the professional development of faculty. Come listen to fellow UVM faculty and staff offer perspectives on the Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT) process, discuss strategies for developing and advancing a scholarly agenda, and offer tips on successful advising practices, among other topics. Faculty are invited to attend an open forum to share their ideas on faculty mentoring and how we can build a mentoring program that addresses the needs of all faculty.

We are pleased to welcome Heather Joseph as keynote speaker on Open Access and Scholarly Publishing. Ms. Joseph is the Executive Director of The Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resource Coalition (SPARC), an international coalition focused on enabling open access to research outputs. Under her stewardship, SPARC has become widely recognized as the leading international force for effective open access policies and practices. Ms. Joseph will be presenting the talk Enabling Open Research.

All events are free and open to all UVM faculty. Registration is not required.
