As part of the Division of Academic Affairs and Student Success, UVM GO is a Pre-Orientation Program for incoming UVM students that focuses on global learning, developing intercultural knowledge and skills, and building community. Each experience allows students to develop their awareness of global issues and make connections in their community and beyond.

It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with UVM faculty, staff, alumni, and local experts – all while having fun and making new friends!

Each summer, UVM GO International and UVM GO Cities offer travel opportunities in a variety of destinations, led by UVM faculty members with extensive experience in the location and program theme. UVM GO Community programs are offered in partnership with the Residential Learning staff, and students move into their on-campus housing three days before New Student Orientation to explore the greater Burlington area.

UVM GO International

UVM GO International offers incoming students the opportunity to participate in five-day and six-day travel programs led by a UVM faculty member with extensive experience in the city and program theme.

UVM GO Cities

UVM GO Cities offers students the opportunity to participate in four-day travel programs, led by a UVM faculty and staff leaders who have extensive experience in the city and program theme.

UVM GO Community

UVM GO Community offers participants the opportunity to meet other incoming residential students, professional staff, and faculty while engaging in community building and integrative learning activities in the greater Burlington area.
