The Council serves as a liaison between all medical students, administrative offices, and other non-medical UVM student organizations. Duties include, but are not limited to, management of the class budgets, oversight of Student Interest Groups and Student Leadership Groups, and promotion of student camaraderie & community outreach through class and schoolwide social events, fundraisers, community service, and more.

Medical Student Interest Groups
Medical Student Council provides primary oversight and support to the 50+ medical student interest groups currently active at Larner. Groups include medical elective groups, national and affinity groups and organizations, community service and service learning opportunities, recreational and more.

The Larner Medical Student Council also works collaboratively with the Graduate Student Council to provide ongoing support and advocacy for the Larner Student Community, as a whole.
The Larner Graduate Student Council represents and supports all graduate students (Ph.D. and Master's) in the Larner College of Medicine and affiliated programs. It collaborates with LCOM leadership and student groups to advocate for student interests and provides advisory support to foster an inclusive community.
