Connie van Eeghen and Erika Ziller presented at the New England Rural Health Association in November on a panel focused on chronic pain in rural populations.  Dr. Connie van Eeghen presented findings from a multi-state feasibility study using Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) data to better understand opioid prescribing for adults with chronic pain in primary care. The study demonstrated that clinic-wide opioid patient rosters created from PDMP data are feasible, acceptable to providers, and generate actionable insights such as prescribing benchmarks, high-dose prescribing patterns, and opportunities to improve chronic pain management.Learn more about the 2025 NERHA conference
