Virtual Server Options

ETS offers flexible, and highly available virtual servers for campus needs. We can create a custom configuration to meet your application/research needs.

We can customize the systems to meet your needs, with options that include:

1. RedHat Enterprise Linux or Windows Server OS options.
2. High-end Intel processors, with a flexible number of available cores based on the desired performance.
3. Many storage options that all offer high levels of data protection (RAID), including:
   1. 7,000 rpm SAS-NL storage, appropriate for moderate storage performance requirements
   2. 10-15,000 rpm SAS storage for higher performance needs, like database servers
   3. flash-optimized storage for applications with very high storage performance requirements
4. Flexible memory sizes from small (2GB) up to large (128GB or larger) configurations, based on application needs.
5. Advanced networking capabilities, up to 10Gb/s per virtual server.
6. Data backups to ensure your VM data is protected in the event of equipment failure or if someone deletes data by accident.

These virtual servers use the same enterprise-class virtualization environment that runs UVM's most critical IT systems.
