Network staff at Earthlink (Together Networks) have enabled a temporary solution which will allow UVM affiliates to log in using the 'userid@uvm' login format and receive an IP from the UVM pool of IP addresses. Because of the way this has been implemented, sometimes a bad IP may be received. If this happens (symptom being that you can't get anywhere) simply disconnect and login again. If you don't need a UVM affiliate IP to access restricted resources you may wish to continue logging in using the 'userid@together.net' login format until a permanent solution is in place.
