Help is available at the Computer Depot Clinic (formerly known as "Walk-In Help") at the Computer Depot, 211 Waterman.

What to bring along:

  • Computer
  • Power adapter
  • Software that came with your computer

  • Service is for current UVM Students, Faculty, & Staff
  • Software assistance is free and for UVM Supported Operating systems & Software
  • Hours are M-F 10am - 2pm (during school year)

What can I do before I go to speed things up?

If you have a Windows Computer:
  • Install all Microsoft Updates www.microsoft.com select Microsoft Update
  • Install Symantec Anti-virus version 10.1 (contact the Help Line at 656-2604 for help.)
  • Uninstall any file sharing or "Free" music download software.
If you have a Macintosh Computer:
  • Run Software Update
