UVM Residence Hall space at Trinity consists of five (5) buildings. Each building has a computer lab on the first floor, with six to seven (6-7) computer stations set up and connected to the internet. Suzanne Dupont, the Building Manger, does not remember a time when all of the computer stations were busy at the same time. Each student has only one phone line in their room, with no data connection. They can, however, unplug their phone and dial up to UVM's modem pool (free) and ISP (the student pays a small monthly fee, then dials up to the local ISP number) as described on the web site located at www.uvm.edu/cit/isp/
Since there is only one phone line in each room, if the student
chooses to use that line to dial up, callers will get a busy signal when resident is computing. If this is a problem, we offer voice mailfree of charge. For information and/or to activate voice mail, please see our web site located at www.uvm.edu/telcom.
The phone system is directly connected to UVM's campus-wide phone
system, and we offer free unlimited local calling with no fee.
If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to
contact Suzanne Dupont, Building Manager located in Richardson Hall on
Trinity Campus, at 656-9486. Thank you!
