    Genetic samples were collected from recreational hunters/trappers, USDA Wildlife Services, and state wildlife agency personnel in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Existing moose (Rosenblatt et al. 2023) and marten (Aylward et al. 2019, 2020) sample data were also used.
