Dataset Overview
Forest stand delineation on NYC watershed lands for east and west of the Hudson River. Stand delineation is updated routinely as new lands are acquired and as stand boundaries change due to a shift in forest structure (e.g., management activities, disturbance). Data collected are Stand ID, land cover (following Anderson 1979 methods), and area (acres, determined by GIS). Major updates in 2003, 2010, 2016. Stand data relates back to Forest Inventory Data. Data is maintained regularly.
