All are welcome to a pasture walk with UVM Extension Center for Sustainable Agriculture, the Vermont Grass Farmers Association and veterinarian, endurance rider and rotational grazing expert Dr. Katherine Goldberg on June 4.

The walk will be located in Cornwall, Vermont, where Becky Kinkead uses a paddock paradise system to rotationally graze her Icelandic horses.

This system helps her land by creating long recovery times for the pastures, grazing tall, fibrous mature grass and increasing both soil health and water quality. It also encourages more movement of the horses, since they have to walk between pastures along a designated laneway back to the barn. Reduced mud also promotes hoof health.

This is a free event, but registration is required.
