Our Farm Viability program provides farm owners with business education resources, skills development, and one-on-one planning services. One-on-one business planning is available to qualifying farms to develop a variety of plan models including a comprehensive business plan, cash flow plan, an enterprise analysis plan, transition plan, and/or a farm transfer plan. Our team also provides business sessions, which are short one-on-one meetings planned for a specific purpose, assistance for newer farms in need of financial planning guidance, and a facilitated peer discussion group (PDF) for qualifying Vermont farmers.

The Farmer Peer-to-Peer Discussion Group (PDF) meets monthly to share challenges and opportunities, and hone business management skills with a varied group of farming peers. The FPtP group explores business topics including financial management, sales, staffing issues, planning, operational efficiencies, market analysis and opportunities, relationship building, and succession planning.
