Abstract

Understanding of complex non-Hermitian quantum systems admitting a combined parity and time reflection symmetry has made rapid advances over the last few years. In this talk we will study several classes of such systems focusing primarily on the widely popular Scarf II potential. We will discuss some recent developments including the Lie algebraic formulation and review certain interesting spectral features associated with such a potential and its rationally extended partner.
