Wayne joined the UVM Department of Theatre and Dance in June 2012 bringing over 30 years of work in Theatre as well as experience marketing Children’s literature, Non-Profit Theatre and Nature books & art to the position of Coordinator of Marketing and Outreach. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts from Florida International University Wayne proceeded to work as an actor in Regional Theatre along with numerous appearances in commercials and independent films. His marketing skills were honed in a 5-year stint with Scholastic Inc. where he worked in the division developing direct to school catalogues. A stay with Vermont Stage Company found him collaborating on fundraising, development and show marketing and this was followed by over 2 years of work with Heron Dance, a Vermont-based publisher of Nature books and framed art, where he worked to enhance the organizations wholesale projects.
At UVM Wayne oversees and implements Marketing initiatives to support the main stage productions presented by the Department of Theatre and Dance, collaborate with campus partners in annual fundraising efforts and manage the running of the front of house which includes supervising and running the Theatre Box Office.
