Program Honors
Program honors are awarded to our top students; the criteria include maintenance of a cumulative GPA of at least 3.55 and a health-and-society-specific GPA of 3.75. Students graduating with honors wear our distinctive dark green, royal blue, and gold cords along with the usual UVM colors during the commencement ceremony.

Outstanding Senior Award
The Outstanding Senior Award is granted to graduating seniors in health and society who demonstrate extraordinary academic achievements in the major as evidenced by their GPA, challenging coursework in the major, and significant participation and leadership in activities related to the intersection between society and health. This award is chosen from students who earned departmental honors.
