Professor Giuseppe Petrucci of UVM was recently elected to The Vermont Academy of Science and Engineering (VASE). The VASE was founded in 1995 to recognize outstanding achievement and contributions in the broadly defined areas of science and/or engineering as well as to foster a deeper understanding and promote discourse on scientific and technical matters among the citizens of Vermont. The State of Vermont chartered the VASE to not only honor accomplishments, but to educate Vermonters about the importance in these fields and help state government resolve problems regarding them. Professor Petrucci exclaimed that he is, “humbled to be in the company of such august and learned scientists and teachers/scholars.”
