Every year our incoming Master of Accountancy (MAcc) cohort volunteer in our local community.

The class of 2018 partnered with ReSOURCE, a local nonprofit, whose mission is to meet community and individual needs through (1) education and job skills training, (2) environmental stewardship, and (3) economic opportunities.

Many gently used household items are donated by the public, all of which have to be inspected and sorted. Essential household items then find new homes with families and individuals in crisis, and prevent tons of material from ending up in our landfills each year. These stores also find new homes for major appliances, computers, electronics, furniture, and industrial surplus materials, which are used by the community as arts, crafts, and educational supplies.

Our students split into 3 teams to help process and sort incoming donations, deconstruct and salvage unusable donations, and build a back-to-school display for donated items.
