GMT Fares have been reinstated and UVM employees who want to participate in the Unlimited Access Program (Fare Free) agree to the following GMT Privacy Policy and UVM Disclaimer:
UVM Disclaimer: UVM will only use bus ride data for (1) Internal UVM checks to ensure services are only used by the authorized individual; (2) As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process; (3) If requested by law enforcement in the course of a criminal investigation; (4) Reporting aggregated, non-personally identifying data e.g. number of overall UVM riders, rides, routes used, rides per hour - in university, local, state, and/or federal systems for transit, sustainability, and campus/urban planning purposes.
Eligible UVM employees must take the following steps to ride fare free:
- Review the GMT and UVM Privacy Policies (above)
- If you agree to the policies, formally Opt-In to the Free Fare Program
- Please wait for an email from UVM confirming you have been enrolled into the Fare Free Program. This email will include next steps. Please do not register an account with the Ride Ready by GMT app until you have first been properly enrolled by UVM.
Please plan to take these steps in advance to riding the bus as there will be some lag time within the systems (up to 5 business days).
Once you have completed the Opt-In process and received an email from UVM to download the app you can confirm you have been properly enrolled in the program when your ticket fare under "My Passes" shows $0. Only employees who enroll with their NetID email address (NetID@uvm.edu) will be eligible for the Unlimited Access Program. To see the employees that are eligible for this program visit: the UVM Catcard page.
Please reach out to parking@uvm.edu with any questions.
