Full-time students, faculty, and staff of UVM qualify for discounted memberships. Before applying, please review the Eligibility page. There is a one-time, non-refundable $30 application fee per driver. Applications are processed within two business days. Enrollment in the Damage Waiver Program is encouraged for members that do not have rental car insurance.

UVM Departments can sign up for a CarShare Vermont Business Membership for FREE. 

CarShare Vermont offers an affordable and environmentally sustainable alternative to buying or replacing a department vehicle. Their diverse fleet includes fully electric, plug-in hybrid, and fuel-efficient options, which are available to rent by the hour or day anytime, 24/7 using their online reservation system or mobile app. There are vehicles located on campus and many other convenient locations throughout Burlington. Driving rates include gas, insurance, and 24/7 roadside assistance.

The membership fee is waived for UVM departments! Find a CarShare car in front of Royal Tyler Theatre, next to Redstone Lofts, in the Dewey Hall parking lot or at 18 other locations in Burlington.
