Visitor is defined as any person who is not registered or pre-registered for classes and is not employed or temporarily employed by the University. University employees and students may not park in visitor areas during restricted hours as posted.
Restricted hours are the days and times posted at lot entrances, in front of or adjacent to parking spaces, pay kiosks and parking publications indicating parking is limited to permits, payment and specific customer groups. In circumstances where there may be a contradiction in these restrictions between the sign and any published information, the sign shall take precedence.
UVM Admissions tours and/or events may meet at either the Admissions Visitor Center or the Dudley H. Davis Center. After registering, check your confirmation email to verify your meeting place. You can view directions and parking information for each location here.
The University is often host to meetings and other events where guests who are visiting need parking. You must indicate your parking needs by booking a reservation in EMS. If you are not familiar with EMS please contact University Event Services at 802-656-5665 for assistance. The parking portion of your request will be forwarded to UVM Transportation and Parking Services Events Coordinator for approval. Placing a request in EMS does not guarantee availability. Further questions or concerns about visitor parking for meetings or events should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fleming Museum parking lot is for visitors to the Museum and requires a special permit from them along with payment for the space during Museum Hours. During non-museum hours this is a paid parking area for visitors only.
These areas are posted with color-coded signs indicating the hours requiring payment, customer groups allowed to park there and indicate they are Pay By App spaces. These signs are located on both Main and Residential Campuses for short-term parking. Visitors, students and employees may use short-term Pay By App spaces in accordance with the restrictions posted on the signs.
Visitors must avoid “Resident” lots as they are enforced 24/7 for Resident permits ONLY. Faculty/Staff lots (those with signs at the entrances which DO NOT include the work “Resident”) are available to all for parking during non-restricted hours. Please note times of enforcement indicated on entrance sign. Vehicles MUST be moved from faculty/staff lots by 7am on business days to avoid citations.
