Campus Sustainability Walking Tour
October 29th, 1-2 p.m. Meeting in-person location details below.
This session provides a walking tour of campus operations that highlights UVM’s sustainability leadership. The tour will run rain or shine and offers two tracks to choose from:
- Track 1: Zero Waste Programs, Local Food Sourcing & Green Buildings
- This tour showcases the Davis Center, the nation's first LEED Gold student union building, and dives deep into the operations of dining and waste programs that strive for zero waste and prioritize local procurement.
- Meet in Davis Center Atrium (bottom floor)
- Track 2: Sustainable Transportation, Landscape Operations & Campus Energy Systems
- This tour includes notable campus gardens, covers a variety of sustainable transportation infrastructure, and highlights district and renewable energy systems.

Understanding Our Comprehensive Sustainability Plan
November 6th, 12 - 1 p.m. (Teams)
This session reviews the key goals UVM is working on for people and planet, including the progress made to date, and what's on the horizon.
Sustainable Practices From Purchasing to Disposal
November 12th, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. (Teams)
This session reviews recommendations and programs for more sustainable procurement and disposal of University items from t-shirts to laptops.
Exploring Intercultural Environmentalism
November 19, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. (Teams)
This session explores how diverse cultural perspectives have shaped contemporary understanding of the interdependence between ecological, social, cultural, and economic systems.
