This 23-page report was prepared by Lake Champlain Sea Grant to inform the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation about options for training and certification programs in clean water project operations and maintenance.

This fact sheet, created by Lake Champlain Sea Grant-funded principal investigators, describes their research project on mercury under the ice of Lake Champlain and its implications and impacts to human health and well-being. The publication describes how researchers are studying mercury uptake into the food chain during the winter and how mercury uptake may change in the future, as winter climate conditions change.

This 7-page report plus appendices summarizes the results of a survey of Vermont restoration practitioners exploring the existing and projected demand for locally-sourced native seedlings over the next 5-10 years. It represents the first step in a project led by the Watershed Forestry Partnership and the US Fish & Wildlife Service to address native tree and shrub stock shortfalls in Vermont.

During the Covid-19 pandemic in June 2020, Mrs. Ruth Beecher's 5th and 6th grade students at Robinson Elementary School in Starksboro, VT planted a pollinator rain garden at the school. This sign was displayed in the garden.

This 2021 Rain Garden Manual is developed for homeowners, landscape architects, city planners, or anyone else interested in installing a rain garden to protect local rivers and lakes in Vermont or the Lake Champlain basin of New York. The 28-page illustrated manual was produced by Lake Champlain Sea Grant.

This peer-reviewed journal article describes Lake Champlain Sea Grant-funded project by researchers who used data from a 28-year forage fish survey to compare demographics of rainbow smelt populations in three basins of Lake Champlain with different volumes, nutrient levels, and predator abundances.
