The Watershed Forestry Partnership is an open collaborative of practitioners, researchers, agency representatives, and others who share knowledge and best practices, facilitate research, and coordinate efforts to restore and manage the forests that protect water resources and habitat in the Lake Champlain basin. This year’s meeting will focus on funding for riparian buffers, seed collection and nursery production of native trees, and improving the outcomes of riparian forest restoration projects.

Registration for the Watershed Forestry Partnership annual meeting is now live!  The meeting will take place in-person on March 27 from 8:30a – 4:30p at the Davis Center of the University of Vermont campus in Burlington. The registration fee is $40 ($25 for students), and lunch is included.  Draft agenda topics include updates on funding, site preparation and maintenance strategies, nursery stock and production, native seed collection, assisted migration, and assessing sites for bird habitat. The finalized agenda will be available soon on the Watershed Forestry Partnership website. Questions can be directed to shawn.white [at] uvm.edu. Register for the event now, space is limited.

Note that there will be no hybrid option (sorry!).  For those who cannot attend, the presentations will be recorded and posted on the Watershed Forestry website.
