2025 Road Salt Education Summit
This road salt education conference is targeted to municipal snowplow crews, private contractors, municipal leaders and board members, state agency staff and others interested in learning about, using, and/or supporting the use of best practices during snow and ice management that maintain public safety while at the same time reducing use of salt. The agenda includes peer-to-peer learning and sharing, an introduction to a variety of reduced salt best practices, information about policies use in other states to limit liability of commercial salt applicators, and the science of salt and its impacts to local waterways. Vendors will be on hand to demonstrate and share information about cutting edge technologies designed to increase knowledge of snow fighters so you can make informed decisions about when, where, and how much salt to distribute in any given location.
