Environmental Remediation Notices

Prior to the commencement of any environmental remediation activity on campus such as asbestos abatement or lead paint removal. The Environmental Health and Safety office will notify occupants of the areas which may be impacted or disrupted by the project activities.

Asbestos Abatement Notice: 12 Centennial Woods Police Services

BUILDINGS AND AREAS AFFECTED:

12 Centennial Woods - Police Services Rooms 102, 103, 103B, 104, 111 and 112.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

As part of renovations, Environmental Hazards Management, Inc. will remove 785 SQFT of

Flooring and Mastic/Adhesive, 5 Square Feet of Exterior Caulking and Exterior Roofing

Flashing. Approximately 30 Linear feet of TSI in Glove Bags

DURATION OF WORK:

Start Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2026

Completion Date: Friday, June 26, 2026

Hours: 6-4:30

WHAT TO EXPECT:

A containment area under negative pressure will be constructed in multiple areas of the

building. During abatement, workers will wear personal and respiratory protection. Areas will

be clearly marked and should not be entered unless a situation posing an Immediate Danger to

Life and Health (IDLH) occurs, and if possible, this entry should be made with personal and

respiratory protection.
