BIO

Peter Maloney is a UAS Pilot and Research Technician for the University of Vermont Spatial Analysis Lab (SAL). He graduated in December 2025 with a degree in Sustainability, Ecology and Policy, with minors in Computer Science and Geospatial Technology. His work includes UAS course development, training facilitation, and public safety exercises with the FAA Center of Excellence for UAS Research. Additional projects include disaster response and recovery operations, landslide monitoring, river erosion tracking, forestry mapping, and volume estimation. Peter is experienced in multispectral, true-color, LiDAR, and thermal data collection and processing.
