BIO
Kate joined the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources in 2025 as a Professional Academic Advisor. She holds an M.S. in Environmental Studies from Antioch University and a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Green Mountain College. Her background includes years of experience in higher education, sustainability, and climate action. She previously served as Sustainability Coordinator and an Instructor at Paul Smith’s College, where she led campus climate initiatives and taught courses in environmental studies, sustainable food systems, and outdoor education.
Most recently, she worked in community renewable energy as Outreach and Communications Coordinator for a community hydroelectric company - Northern Power and Light, in Saranac Lake New York. Kate is also a certified Wilderness First Responder and a Level Two High Ropes Challenge Course facilitator. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and paddling with her dog and growing food and flowers in her garden.
