BIO
Gretchen graduated from UVM's School of Natural Resources in 2002 with a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology. After a 20-year career as a wildlife biologist and avian ecologist, primarily in the southeastern states, Gretchen returned to RSENR to support the Lake Champlain Sea Grant, Northeastern States Research Cooperative, and the Vermont Water Resources and Lake Studies Center. She manages federal awards for the three programs, coordinates research competitions, and manages subsequent subawards between UVM and partner researchers. When not working, Gretchen enjoys gardening with her husband, watching hockey, and riding her bike on the Colchester Causeway. She doesn't go anywhere without her binoculars.
