A Friendly Reminder of the Steps to Prepare
UVMClick – IRB Education Sessions – Spots still open
- Register for an upcoming UVMClick – IRB educational session (opens in a new window).
- Sessions will continue to be on campus in 217F Waterman.
- Seats available for October 31st, November 12th, 13th and 14th.
CITI Training – You still have time
Investigators, if you have not completed Human Subjects Training or Good Clinical Practice Training in CITI (opens in a new window), it is best to complete as soon as possible.
Please hold on submitting anything new (protocols, amendments, etc.)
As the date of conversion is approaching, please hold on any submissions until after the go-live date. Submissions received now, will likely not be approved and therefore the protocol will not be converted.
The ability to submit through the InfoEd system will be turned off as of November 2nd at 4:30 PM. View access will remain.
We will allow continued responses to outstanding items only from November 3rd to 14th outside of the InfoEd system by the following method:
- Only responses to clarifications may be submitted during this time (new protocols, new amendments, etc. will not be considered),
- You must email your response letter and any revised protocol materials directly to your Research Analyst,
- Approvals of these responses will be managed through InfoEd (by IRB staff only) therefore, you will receive correspondence from that system until the submission is approved.
Note: No one, not even RPO staff, will have view/edit access on November 15th to 18th
November UVMClick Roll Out Timeline

Existing Protocol Clean-Up Modification
Researchers will not be able to submit any modifications to existing protocols until an initial “clean-up modification” has been submitted and approved. The purpose of this submission is to collect data that currently resides only in paper form in the new system as well as establish a new baseline of currently approved protocol materials. You will only upload protocol materials that may require revisions in the future such as the protocol, stamped consent(s), recruitment posters, etc. This modification will be administratively reviewed, so please do not use the clean-up modification to update anything as that is not the intention of the clean-up modification and would result in a delay in processing.
Once that has been done, subsequent “real” protocol modifications can be submitted through the system.
New Protocol Submissions
New protocol submissions can be submitted as of November 26th without the clean-up modification. Other types of submissions can begin once a clean-up modification has been approved.
InfoEd
View access will be restored for a period of time so that you are able to view submissions pre-UVMClick – IRB.
The IRB website will be updated as applicable.
