OIRA conducts several major campuswide surveys. These surveys are often administered annually or semiannually. OIRA is available to partner with you in developing and executing surveys for your initiative or unit. To request a survey consultation, please complete our request form below.

Campus Climate Survey

Body

Every three years, the Campus Climate Survey is administered and collects data on the perceptions and experiences of students, faculty and staff. 

Its key functions include measuring progress on key initiatives around inclusive excellence, identifying strengths, and areas for improvement. 

The data collected informs the development of strategic plans across the university aimed to achieve a more equitable and inclusive campus environment.

Career Outcomes Survey

Body

The Career Outcomes Survey is administered annually and measures post-graduation success of undergraduate and graduate alum.

The survey includes the core National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) questions, their UVM experience, and engagement in high impact practices and services.

Faculty Survey of Student Engagement

Body

The Faculty Survey of Student Engagement survey aims to better understand how faculty perceive student engagement and experiences.

The survey is administered every three years to instructional staff who teach at least one undergraduate course.

National Survey of Student Engagement

Body

The National Survey of Student Engagement is administered every three years to undergraduate students in their first and senior year. 

This survey collects information about their participation and engagement with programs and activities as well as their perceived gains from their college experience.

National Survey of Student Engagement Reports

First Six-Weeks Survey

Body

The First Six-Weeks Survey is intended to identify challenges, measure student engagement and connections, and provide data for early intervention and program improvement.  

The First Six-Weeks Survey is distributed annually to first-time first year students in the sixth week of their fall semester. 

Monthly Measures

Body

Monthly Measures is distributed in collaboration with Center for Health and Wellbeing. The purpose of the survey is to measure overall student health and wellbeing, including drug/alcohol use, mental health, and belonging. 

The survey is distributed monthly to a random sample of UVM students (undergraduate and graduate). A student will not receive the survey more than once in an academic year.
