We use internal data from internal sources such as Banner, PeopleSoft, and campus-wide surveys, as well as data from external sources such as the National Student Clearinghouse. In accordance with federal requirements, we update our official snapshots of student and course related data after each add/drop date. Our faculty/staff data snapshots are updated monthly for unofficial use and each November for official use. While we aim to ensure consistency by using official snapshots, we may assist with unofficial, more frequent snapshots on a case by case basis.
As a leader on the Data Governance Council, ethical use of data is our priority. For non-anonymized data or reports involving other sensitive data, you will be asked to provide additional information about why you need the data and how you will use, share, and retain the files.
