Dear UVM Community, Below are several updates to University operations.
If your department is in possession of any cash or checks that need to be deposited, please email Treasury@uvm.edu for more information.
Campus TD Bank ATMs
The TD Bank ATMs located on campus are no longer available.
Mail will continue to be delivered to Residential Life, Given, Physical Plant, Custodial Services, and the Disbursement Center.
All other offices may pick up their mail by appointment in Williston. Please call (802-399-2509) and let them know what time you will be arriving, and they will have your mail ready for pick up at the front door to the Williston facility. The address is:
223 Avenue D
Williston VT 05495
Physical Plant and Custodial Services
Physical Plant and Custodial Services have reduced the number of staff who will be available on campus in response to the Governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order to only a limited number of essential employees.
During this time, the Physical Plant staff will be focused only on critical operations. These include, but are not limited to, the operation of Central Utilities Plant, critical HVAC and other support systems associated with animal care spaces, critical equipment in key network services rooms, critical HVAC systems associated with fume hood exhaust, necessary systems in the dorms that are still housing students, and support services for functions associated with dining for those students. Physical Plant will also conduct routine walk throughs in all campus buildings to verify proper operations.
Some laboratory related functions may not be attended to due to the limited resources at this time. This may include RODI systems, acid neutralization systems, and laboratory compressed air systems.
Custodial Services will continue to clean the research laboratories approved to continue to operate and will do limited cleaning in buildings where CATCard swipe reports indicate faculty and staff use. High touch points will continue to be stressed in buildings where there is a presence. In Residential Life, Custodian Services will conduct their normal sanitizing and disinfecting tasks in common areas and common area restrooms, etc. in the residence halls that are being used.
Please contact UVM Service Operations and Support (SOS) at 656-2560 if you have critical building issues. For non-building emergencies please contact Police Services at 656-3473 or 911.
The non-alcohol hand sanitizer dispensers are being refilled with alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Once that is done, the dispenser will be relabeled.
Residential Life Update
There are currently 117 students approved for emergency housing. Harris/Millis will be only dining service available on campus.
Campus Shuttle Buses
Campus shuttle buses have ceased running on campus.
I appreciate your understanding and patience as we address changes in specific university operations.
