The Office for Continuing Medical and Interprofessional Education (CMIE) at the Larner College of Medicine supports a passion for lifelong learning with continuing education for healthcare professionals. Our offerings enhance knowledge and skills through learning opportunities and team-based experience.

The Robert Larner College of Medicine has been granted Accreditation with Commendation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

We are accredited to provide physician, pharmacy, nursing, physician associate and social work credit for appropriate education for these audiences.

The Joint Accreditation process employs a rigorous, multilevel process for evaluating institutions' education programs for the healthcare team, according to the high accreditation standards adopted by the ANCC, the ACPE and the ACCME.

About Us

CMIE programs provide opportunities for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physician associates, and social workers to master what is new, gain fresh insights into the diagnosis and management of common clinical conditions, and share successes and challenges with colleagues.

Conferences

Our educational activities include a full series of live postgraduate medical courses each year, ranging from half-day seminars for regional physicians to week-long national conferences and international scientific symposia.

Grand Rounds

Our regularly-scheduled series (RSS) include: grand rounds, tumor boards, case-based conferences, and morbidity and mortality conferences. These activities are held predominantly at the Robert Larner M.D. College of Medicine and The University of Vermont Medical Center, with some available via virtu
