We are dedicated to compassionate care, education, and innovative research to enhance community health. Since our inception in the 1970s, we've grown to 25 clinical sites and over 230 providers, including 64 faculty members.

Education

Our Family Medicine faculty provide exceptional and varied clinical and academic experiences for learners in the hospital, academic practices, community health centers and rural practices. They lead and teach in all four years of the medical school and in our residencies and fellowship.

Our mission is to advance the science of social connection, healthcare communication and application of socially just conversation analytics in healthcare redesign. We leverage our interdisciplinarity, our joy of collaborative discovery and commitment to fostering a just and compassionate world.

Patient Care

Our department includes the divisions of Primary Care Medical Homes, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Urgent Care. Family Medicine primary care includes comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan, procedural, reproductive, and obstetric care.
