Mastering Early Goals of Care Conversations

Presented by TalkVermont

We believe that empathic, honest conversations are cornerstones of patient- and family-centered care. Research shows that patients who speak with their clinicians about their goals and values are more likely to receive the care they want, have fewer non-beneficial medical treatments, spend fewer days in hospitals and intensive care units, and report a better quality of life.

Take part in this full-day, safe, small group pre-conference workshop and practice realistic conversations with simulated, trained patients. The workshop registration includes continental breakfast, lunch, and meeting supplies. Be advised this session is open to in-person registrants only.

Maximum enrollment: 21.

REFUNDS: Refunds, minus an administrative fee of $75, will be made only if notice of cancellation is received at uvmcmie@med.uvm.edu prior to May 15, 2025.  Refunds are not possible after that date. Substitutions may be possible; please call (802) 656-2292 to inquire.
